Anamaria Marinca is Anamaria Marinca is a Romanian actress. Her debut on screen was through the Channel 4 film Sex Traffic in which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. Speaks French, German, English and Romanian fluently. Her father, a theatre professor at one of Romania's most prestigious theater schools, also theater teacher. She was awarded the Best Female Actor of the Year in 2000 Award during The Young Actor Gala Mangalia. She was selected as a European Shooting Star by the European Film Promotion Board in 2008. She was for four years an instructor in the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu. bAnamaria is an Romanian actress born on April 1, 1978 in Iasi Romania. Anamaria Marinca, an actress with Romanian descent, made her screen debut in the television series British-Canadian called Sex Traffic. She won the British Academy Television Award Best Actress award for her performance in this film. Alongside her impressive performance in her first film, she is famous for her role in the Romanian art film 4 months 3 Weeks and 2 Days which won her numerous awards, including the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She starred in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 luni 3 saptamani e 2 days" (4 months, three weeks and 2 Days) that won her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. It also received two awards in addition, the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) and the Cinema Prize. Youth Without Youth, a Francis Ford Coppola movie, was also part of her work. In 2008 she played Yasim anwar in the BBC series The Last Enemy. Marinca was a part of the Romanian drama Boogie as well as Oliver Hirschbiegel's highly popular Five Minutes of Heaven. Later, she had a major role in 2014's Fury where she was Irma the German aunt of Emma.
