Jessica Chastain (born Jessica Chastain) is a well-known American actor, filmmaker and feminist. She has been a strong women in films that have feminist themes. She was born in California which is in the US and discovered a love in acting after watching the play Joseph and the Amazing Tecnhicolor Dreamcoat. In a stage production of Romeo and Juliet, she began her professional career. Her next role was her debut film appearance in the drama "Jolene". Her popularity grew with the roles she played in films, like 'Take Shelter The Help as well as 'Mama' and "Interstellar'. The actress won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in 'Zero Dark Three which was nominated for "Best Actress". Her most renowned roles are filled with females who are strong and flawed. Many of them are considered to be feminist. She is a feminist with a strong voice. is known for her vocal pro-equal pay for women and has also slammed works she felt were offering her an unfair wage. TIME magazine ranked her among the Top 10 Most Influential People in the World in 2012.
